My guitar lessons with Jeff started in 2006, and continued on to 2009. Jeff was always patient with me, no matter what. I often struggled with….well, everything to do with guitar. Jeff was encouraging and insisted on explaining things until understood them, even if it meant explaining the same thing over and over. He always let me choose the song I wanted to learn, and would then build exercises based around the song. I got to learn the music I wanted to play, as well as the theory I needed. Several times, I brought in complicated songs that were horribly beyond my ability. Jeff, being a human being, wasn’t always able to transcribe these songs on the fly. He would take a song home and work out a transcription for me on his own time, so it would be ready for my next lesson. He encouraged me to learn theory, and to have an appreciation for all types of music. He was always positive and upbeat during lessons, even when I wasn’t. Jeff is an excellent teacher and a fun person. I would recommend him to anyone.
