Cathleen Lundgren

Cathleen Lundgren possesses over a decade of industry experience beginning as a private personal business manager for individual musicians. Over the course of her career, she has worked with a number of iconic bands, producers and singer/songwriters. In 2006, Cathleen founded Mission Management Group, a boutique project management agency which nurtures the careers of select musical artists and businesses.

Cathleen began teaching at the Nimbus School of Recording Arts in Vancouver. Joining Arbutus Music School enabled her to complete a goal to teach on Vancouver Island where she is close to her family.

As a FACTOR accredited juror and as a voting member of CARAS she assists emerging music artists and industry professionals in their career development and growth within the Canadian music business.

I've taken plenty of schooling over the years including Simon Fraser University andI've had all kinds of teachers. I really enjoyed Cathleen’s teaching style. She clearly and effectively explained everything we needed to know about the music industry with a sense of humour so nothing was ever too dry. Even the accounting part! I appreciated that she always had control of the class and didn't stand for nonsense and I was inspired by the shear amount of things she gets done. From managing artist careers and her ownbusy household, to teaching and marking, plus everything she did for Megan McNeil and the “Will To Survive” Childhood Cancer Awareness Campaign at that time; it was inspiring for sure. I still haven't gotten myself that organized yet; working on it though!
